Holly Day

Plate 22

A skeletal Hamlet stands in his kitchen, contemplating
the overturned skull of an exhumed Yurick. They had plans for
lunch that day, to maybe catch a movie, but when the skeleton
dug up his friend, only this skull was waiting for him.

Hamlet stares at the dirt-encrusted skull, contemplating
what it would be like to have only his head, no hands, no limbs for
basic ambulation, wonders if Yurick had been the skeleton
instead, would he have brought Hamlet’s skull back home with him

Or just refilled the hole with dirt and made other plans for the night?
